Lila ("lee-luh") was born after I arrived home from a summer spent in Costa Rica. My health was a mess and it showed on my skin, in the form of rashes, acne and sensitivity. I tried product after product, but nothing worked. (Some things, like coconut oil, actually made my skin worse!) So one night, I got out my laptop and spent many hours researching skin health. I learned that many of the oils and products on the market right now aren't actually formulated for problem skin. They contained ingredients that were known for clogging pores, yet these products were advertised as safe for problem skin. I also found that many of them contained water, which didn't fit my standard for 100% purity.

These were my requirements:

100% pure botanical oils from ethical, reputable sources.
Contains oils that are known for healing scars and evening skin texture (I had bumps and scarring on my cheeks!)
Doesn't cause any more breakouts or aggravate skin.
Simple. I wanted great skin without a dozen products on my bathroom counter.
In need of a solution to this problem, I created my own facial serum.
